Veggies on the grill

Want tasty veggies and a counter-balance for your BBQ meats? Try grilling veggies! I have this handy grill grate for the BBQ but you can alternatively skewer veggies which works well for all sizes. Just sprinkle with salt and pepper and a little oil first. Placing veggies right onto the grill also works if they are larger, or if you prepare the grill with foil first. Food and Wine Magazine also has tipped me off on grilling veggies as a preparation for a sauce like salsa or guacamole. Any way you slice it (I know, I'm lame for puns) grilling veggies adds depth of flavour and a different zing to your everyday BBQ experience.
